To help us prepare the design document that will guide the development of your Internet, intranet, or extranet solution, please come to the kick-off meeting prepared to discuss the following:
• What does your organization do, and how does the website fit into your overall strategy/mission?
• What has your organization done with the Internet in the past? What was successful, what didn't work, and why?
• What do you hope to accomplish with your new site?
• What "look and feel" do you want to achieve? Simple and understated, or aggressive and promotional?
• What information do you most wish to direct users to?
• Can you prioritize the content?
• What will be the primary and secondary content areas of the site?
• Which people do you want to target?
• Would you like users to be able to search the full site?
• Do you have databases that need to be integrated into the site?
If you already have a web site:
• Who uses your site?
• Who do you expect to use your site in the future?
• What are their demographics/characteristics?
• Is the content mostly promotional or informational?
